Mocha is sired by Pepsis Color Master and out of our mare Whatadrummer Doll (see Ladybug’s page for pictures). The plan had never been to keep Mocha but we chose to retain her for our program last year when we hit the genetic jackpot with this gorgeous triple homozygous filly (dominant extension/black, tobiano and dun). We were also loving her half sister, Latte (she also has her own page), and decided we couldn’t let her go. Unfortunately, the reality of too many young horses has caught up to me. When I looked at our two keeper fillies, I made the hard choice to list Mocha because Onyx’s dam is now retired. With that said, we absolutely love this filly and have priced her accordingly. If she is still here in the spring, she will be going in to training as planned.
Mocha is a very sweet filly that loves her people. She is lower on the totem pole so often has to wait her turn for attention but absolutely soaks it up when it comes. Mocha is quiet and trainable but will have moments of deciding if she really, truly needs to do what’s being asked. Mocha is easy to catch, lead, tie and load. She is up to date for farrier and deworming.
